Cartilage piercing question?

tomorrow i'm getting my cartilage pierced and Claire's and piercing pagodas are pretty much my only opinions, i know getting done with a gun is bad but im going to take the risk. im 13 and scared of needles. i have a low tolerance for pain but when i got my ear pierced i barley flinched. for people who got their cartilage done at claire's or piercing pagodas how much did it hurt, how old were you, what did it feel like, which place is better?
