What plant is this?

I have a plant leaf to identify. It is oblong, pointed at the top, widens, and then tapers at the bottom. Dark green at the top, varigated in a horizontal stripe that lightens as you go into the core of the plant. It's waxy and smooth, but kind of thick.. not like jade thick, but thicker than say, a peace lily. I tried the plant ID sites and they all want to know details I just don't have. Oh, and you can't see any veins or anything in it. Also has kind of a pointed protrusion coming of the top point of the leaf, almost like a little claw. Anyone have any ideas?
