I can no longer switch from a square to elliptical marquee in Photoshop CS2 for Mac. marquee?

I hold down the on, like I always have, and now, nothing - stuck on the square marquee. It's the same with the other tools as well.) Don't know what I did, but can someone help me UNDO it (whatever it was.)
